We are expanding our marketing team and looking for a talented, experience marketer who will translate business and financial information into compelling content that will be used in a variety of customer-facing areas. This will include both short and long-form content that is designed to engage, nurture and convince buyers.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the VP, Marketing to craft Place’s content strategy to align with our ICP buyer’s journey from prospect to customer
  • Develop, produce, and manage the entire content creation process to produce high-quality content with ICP problems to be solved in mind
  • Cultivate a diverse portfolio of assets ensuring a consistent brand voice and message
  • Manage vendor, agency, and freelancer relationships to help produce and promote high-quality content for website, blogs, videos, podcast, social media posts/campaigns, email campaigns, e-books, whitepapers, sales materials, etc. 
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, client success, and senior leadership to create & promote produced content
  • Help create and contribute to a marketing content calendar, allocating resources, determining targets and timelines
  • Share in setting and achieving marketing performance goals and objectives
  • Develop a comprehensive database of reference customers and success stories that can be used to directly support sales and marketing activities, PR, thought leadership, analyst relations, and strategic partnerships
  • Manage a spectrum of marketing initiatives as needed, including meetups, community forums, advisory boards, referral programs, etc. with a keen focus on driving retention, growth and referrals.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of content/community marketing experience
  • Proven curiosity for quantitative data analysis for measuring program effectiveness
  • Experience in end-to-end webinar, focus group, and user group management

Your Background

  • 5+ years total experience in a quota-carrying SaaS
  • Experience with selling finance, HR or accounting software is highly preferred
  • Experience in a quota-carrying role; responsible for meeting and exceeding a quarterly goal
  • Experience in evangelizing, communicating, building relationships, and recommending solutions to senior-level decision-makers and stakeholders
  • You will ideally have applicable experience in “sell to a Finance audience” and business and/or finance processes and accounting expertise/knowledge

At Place, the Sales Engineer is a prospect- and customer-facing strategic, technical, and product expert who understands the Place platform, our B2B SaaS customers’ challenges, and their finance & revenue systems landscape. The Sales team relies on this role to understand the requirements of their customers and how Place can be used to address their needs. Sales also relies on Sales Engineers to best position the product in discussions and to understand the customer’s technical landscape and how Place would fit into their technology stack.


In this role, you will partner with both our internal teams and our customers to understand requirements, communicate capabilities, respond to questions, and run product demonstrations on sales opportunities. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams, our customers, and our product and engineering teams to define and communicate how Place can help customers achieve their business goals. You are responsible for understanding a prospect or customer’s in-depth business issues, processes, and systems to help determine and communicate the best ways for them to use the Place platform.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to assist in attaining 100% of the quarterly new bookings target by supporting sales opportunities in all stages of engagement, from discovery and qualification, to implementation handoff
  • Develop and deliver high-quality sales presentations focused on product use-cases, technical integrations, and the customer journey
  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with prospects during the sales process across several different prospective customers simultaneously
  • Conceptualize and communicate how Place can create value for our prospective customers
  • Perform customer needs assessments and understand the customers’ finance, revenue, and people technology landscapes and processes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software Sales Engineering / Solutions Consulting experience on B2B SaaS solutions, preferably within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • 2+ years of Salesforce technical experience in Sales Cloud or Platform administration, development, consulting, or sales operations
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field (finance, accounting, business, or information systems) is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently support sales teams to achieve or exceed quota
  • Passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative, high-energy environment
  • Experience in corporate finance is a plus, preferably within high-growth SaaS businesses

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business leads by executing outbound activities 
  • Execute sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using enablement technology to connect with new prospects
  • Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with assigned reps to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book pitch meetings with target prospects
  • Conduct discussions with prospects over the phone to identify and qualify opportunities
  • Understand users’ pain points, gather requirements, and correlate business value to customer needs
  • Partner with Account Executives and Director of Sales to strategize your outbound approach to identifying opportunities in target accounts

Required Experience/Skills:
